A local group of Girl Scouts recently threw a fun “Once Upon a Tea Party” event for residents at Morningside Place Memory Care in Overland Park, Kansas. They helped serve an array of delicious treats and tea to the delight of the residents!
These intergenerational programs are so beneficial to residents and to the young people, and they have resulted in many wonderful relationships. These events bring everyone together for connection, with lots of great conversations and laughter.
“The energy young people bring into our community is truly uplifting for our seniors,” said Shauniece Banks-White, life engagement director for Morningside Place.
The special tea party was covered in the local Johnson County Post as their “Thousand Words” photo of the week!
