Dolly Parton has touched generations of lives through her music, kindness, and enduring spirit. For many older adults, her songs are more than familiar melodies; they’re connected to special memories, places, and moments from earlier in their lives.
Concord Place Memory Care in Knoxville, Tennessee, recently celebrated the life, music, and legacy of Dolly Parton with “Dolly Day,” an event filled with music, memories, and a little butterfly magic.
The community’s halls and rooms were decorated with 80 beautiful paper butterflies in honor of Dolly’s “Love Is Like a Butterfly” song. Residents, families, and guests gathered together for an afternoon of Dolly-inspired fun, including music, food, and lots of opportunities to connect and share memories.
The event was covered by Argentum. You can read the full story here.
