Harvester Place Memory Care resident brings bags of supplies to help Chicago area tornado residents

Last month, seven tornadoes tore through the Chicago area, with winds between 80 and 100 miles per hour, causing widespread damage. The damage has been devastating for residents in the area, especially those in a south suburb where a tornado ravaged the same neighborhood twice.

Residents and staff at Harvester Place Memory Care in Burr Ridge had seen the disaster coverage on TV and wanted to help. So they got busy gathering supplies and then bused over to the area, setting up an access point in a centrally located parking lot for residents and volunteers.

Being part of the greater community and lending a helping hand when needed are deeply meaningful to Harvester Place residents. By supporting those affected by the tornadoes, they not only made a difference for others but also strengthened their own sense of purpose and connection.
