Porter Place Memory Care residents, family members, and friends recently gathered at the Tinley Park Roller Rink to celebrate the legacy of Raymond Quitter, a resident of Porter Place Memory Care. Alongside his late wife, Margaret, Raymond helped build a roller-skating tradition that spanned decades across Chicago’s south and southwest suburbs, creating welcoming spaces where generations of residents formed friendships, found community, and made lasting memories.
Although Raymond was unable to attend the June 18th celebration, those who came reflected on the profound impact he and Margaret had through their rinks, particularly in Glenwood and Tinley Park. Their commitment to bringing people together and supporting the community continues at the Tinley Park Roller Rink, where their legacy lives on today.
