At Chelsea Place we are known for encouraging a high level of social interaction within and outside our community. We do this because we know that interaction is so important to helping people with cognitive impairment reconnect with themselves, their family members, and with everyone around them.
We give special focus to intergenerational interaction opportunities through regular visits to the local elementary school. These visits often stir memories that residents will share with children. There is always much laughter and joy, from young and old. But calm, rejuvenating interactions are also important. And we take our residents to enjoy regular walks at nearby Cherry Creek Park and Reservoir where they can stop to smell the flowers in bloom and experience the changing seasons.
Often, however, it is the small moments that bring the greatest satisfaction; those spontaneous connections between our residents and our caregivers, and with loved ones who come to visit. Our goal is to encourage those moments by using our knowledge and creativity to create a circle of engagement between our residents and all who come into contact with them.
As an Anthem Memory Care community, we are 100% dedicated to serving the needs of individuals with Alzheimer’s and other dementias. Our guiding purpose is “To protect, engage and love.” We achieve this by providing the highest standards of care, along with comfort and support to our residents and their families.
